My Story
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Certified Trick Dog Instructor, and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, with a minor in psychology. I have been working with animals my whole life, from dairy cows and horses to dogs and rabbits. I have been working with dogs in a professional manner for 10 years.
Before relocating back to my home state of Connecticut in 2019, I lived in Vancouver, Canada for five years. There I had started my own business, Woof Who's Happy, which I grew from a small dog walking company to a successful dog training business. Since coming back to CT, I have also worked at Tails-U-Win! in Manchester owned by legendary dog trainer Leslie Nelson.
Pup to Perfection is my way of working privately with clients who might need or desire more individualized attention, or for those dogs who would not do well in a group class setting. By coming to your home, I am able to address more specific issues and help the whole family get on track for success!
I am a firm believer in reward based training even though, like many other trainers, that is not how I originally started in dog training. However, after seeing first hand the efficacy of positive reinforcement, I have never looked back!
